Naya Traveler

“Transcending Boundaries through Travel”

Introduction

In August of 2017, I was approached by a colleague I had known for several years throughout my years working in the travel and hospitality industry. She contacted me to gauge my interest in spearheading the public relations efforts for a new company she co-founded in 2016 with two other women.

Naya Traveler is a bespoke travel company offering tailor-made experiential journeys to a curated selection of destinations steeped in ancient traditions and customs. With no brand recognition since the company had just started, the founders needed a strategic public relations campaign that would make an imprint in an ever-evolving travel industry. They needed someone to help craft and disseminate their “story” to a wide range of audiences in an impactful way.

About Naya Traveler

Rooted in first-hand expertise and intimate knowledge, Naya Traveler’s highly personalized itineraries focus on exclusive insider experiences that bring back purpose and value to travel and provide a unique space to discover a destination through the eyes and knowledge of those who know it best.

Naya Traveler works with an exceptional group of local hosts and expert guides in each destination, ranging from historians and artists to ethnographers and chefs—all of whom will guide travelers through the threads of a destination’s rich cultural tapestry. All itineraries are designed around the interests and motivations of travelers, and no two are the same.

Working with Naya Traveler

The story was a compelling one with many angles to concentrate on – three women founders with expertise in different facets of travel and hospitality were a big focus of my PR campaign and ultimately led to great success. In the next two years, I secured press coverage for Naya Traveler in the best of the best in print and digital – from articles in top-tier outlets including Departures, Robb Report, Elite Traveler, Vogue, Goop, Travel + Leisure, Conde Nast Traveler, Luxury, Centurion, National Geographic Traveler, Women’s Health, Vogue Latinoamerica, Travel + Leisure Mexico to coverage in national newspapers including The Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe, The New York Times, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, The New York Post, The Washington Post to expanding their footprint in digital outlets with articles in CNN Travel (syndicated to over 75 outlets), Forbes, Vogue.com, Goop, The Zoe Report, Well + Good and so much more. Not only did I build brand awareness for this new company, but I was also able to successfully position the three founders as “experts” in the travel industry, lending their commentary and expertise for numerous articles and profiles.

With a brief pause due to the pandemic, Naya Traveler is still a current client today.
